    AC-DC power pack question

    Some advice please.

My Laptop AC-DC power pack is rated at :19v 2.4Amp.
I also have a AC-DC power pack from another laptop, it is rated at 20v 3.25Amp.
Do you think it would be safe to use the 20v pack, to power my laptop.

    Thanks

    John

Sounds like yours is a Dell too. I have interchanged the dell 19 and 20v packs myself

    It's an old ASUS F7400 PII366.
I'm selling, i had two AC-DC packs, one for the desk
and one in the laptop case.

I cannot find one of the pack, but I found the 20v one
i forgot i had from an old laptop i picked up.
and just wanted to know if i could use it with the ASUS.

I think it should be ok to use, just wanted to make sure.

Just make sure the plugs polarity is the same.
