once you realize the actual output of a 1farad cap its pretty hard to argue any reason to have one at all. they do 'look' cool though, i guess...
For BLING I have no argument. It's when people start arguing performance....
But usually people want either the bling looks, else quality - though I have seen many with dummy caps (the normal $100-$500 caps but not wired across the amps; usually via a resistor to the battery...).
