    m4, hoping i didn't short it out...

So, I just installed Win7, set the touchscreen drivers up, unplugged my usb mouse, and the pc shut off?

Tried turning it back on by shorting the 2 connectors on the mobo and nothing... problem is, the led on the m4 doesn't light up when the test power supply is on like it used to (it used to blink without the pc on). I don't recall the usb plug hitting any open wire, but even if it it, since it wasn't connected to anything, there was no voltage going through it. The 12v+, ground, and remote were wired into a molex on the test power supply for the m4, so it def. didn't hit those wires. I'm kinda stumped without tearing the whole thing apart and trying the power supply like normal, which I might do if there are no other suggestions...

If the test power supply is on, and I touch the 12v+ wire to the 12v+ wire to the molex on the test supply, it does spark, so apparently voltage is there, but not sure at m4 end. I also don't have a voltmeter or multimeter to test with...

I know it seems kind of vague, sorry for that, but a little frustrated as I was almost done...

    Are there any suggestions?

Are you runing the M4 in dumb mode?
Do you have 12v to the IGN line to trigger power-on?

Do you have a multimeter? If so, start measuring voltages from that molex.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

It's in P1 mode, with the first dip switch down. The 12v ign line was hooked to the 12v+ line...

Well, I don't want to say what was the real cause, as I can't believe it was something so small and stupid. But after a good nights sleep I looked at when I got up saw the problem right away... The cat chewed through the 12v+ wire and part of the molex. I'm pretty sure that cause my problems. Man, can't believe I didn't see that .

    BAD KITTEH!

Glad you got it figured out, even though it was a silly cause.
