Sanity Check on P1900/Antec ISK 300-65

Hey guys, I'm starting a new build but I'm trying to work around my P1900 here.
I just need a quick sanity check to make sure I'm not about to do something monumentally stupid.

As I mentioned I have the Carnetix P1900, and would prefer to stick with it. Problem is I'm limited to cases running 18-20VDC.

I'm looking at the Antec ISK 300-65 case. The power brick characteristics are 19VDC (18.4~20VDC), and about 3.5A max. There's a PDF here, page 4 goes more in depth on the brick.

I'm looking to power an AMD E-350 with a single 2.5" HDD, and possibly 1 USB device.

As far as I can tell, I can just snip the barrel connector (well, ideally just pick one up at Fry's) and solder it up to my P1900's output wiring, and things should work. Am I missing something/possibly crazy?

i see the plug on the back, but according to the power supply specs, it says that it takes 120vac, and converts it to 19vdc... but none of the pictures actually show any of the power supply that the case has...

Agreed, but take a look at this.

What I see is a DC-ATX board. Previous page shows the power brick, which I'm guessing has the 19VDC output. I don't know about you, but I'm seeing an affordable case to pair with a P1900. Think I might just pick one up.

I think you have multiple options, actually.
It appears that the MD-135 DC-DC power board inside the case takes 19vDC and splits out to standard-issue ATX connectors.
So you could go with a Carnetix to provide the 19vDC or use an ATX PSU like an M2, Opus, or DSATX.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
