    how to get win7 to hibernate if it is in sleep mode for an amt of time

    is it possible to get win7 to go into hibernation mode if it is in sleep mode for more than 2 hrs?

    Well you can enable hybrid sleep in power options, but that wont allow you the 2 hr limit.

    i tried hybrid sleep and read aboout it briefly yet i dont understand what it is?

    so if i enable hybrid sleep then when i press the power/sleep button it goes into a hybrid sleep?

    and i need it to be set at about 10hrs not 2. is it possible?

    Hybrid sleep will write the hibernate file to drive then do a normal sleep when the PC when your button is pressed. Under normal conditions (power stable), it will resume from sleep pretty much instantly. If something occurs putting the PC in abnormal conditions (maybe your battery runs out or goes under smart PSU threshold), the PC will resume from hibernation instead of crashing entirely. I use it, but i have a secondary battery. I wouldnt recommend it to people using only 1 battery.

    There is a setting in power options, but I don't know how it works, may be you can try it?

    I was just trying to help, I just tested so it goes into sleep then hibernate after set time, it works.

    sorry i didnt mean to sound sarcastic. ive tried it but my m3atx power supplies doesnt seem to agree with hybrid sleep so i guess im SOL.
