    power consumption of a usb hub

    curious to know if my 90 watt inverter can power my laptop and a usb hub w/o any problems? my laptop consumes 45 watts. i'm sure it'll be fine right?
    project: built, updating software
    comp: 1.67 ghz AMD, 1 gig of ram, 80 gb hd
    software: nlited xp, roadrunner
    screen: TM-701L touchscreen
    bluetooth keyboard
    Sony Xplod cdx-m630
    SB MP3 sound card
    future: gps with and navigation software

    i researched some more, and i can't use the hub unless i already have a usb 2.0 connection. so i need to use a pcmcia card with 4 ports and prolly power that off the inverter. maybe something like this, but maybe i can find one cheaper that will solve my problem. something like this won't have a prob powering this http://mystorix.com/optical_idx.html or will i be better off running my laptop, pcmcia card, and dvd drive off the inverter?
