    PC reboots when starting engine

For example, when I fill up with gas but leave the key on ON its fine, but when I turn the key to start, the voltage drop causes the PC to reboot. I'm using one of zootjeff's DC to DC power supplies.

Any ideas on what I can do? would a tank circuit fix the problem?

You can try a .5 > 1 farod cap used for car audio to keep the current up while cranking, if that is your problem. 1 farod would be overkill, but half farods are hard to find (for me anyway).

But .. how do turn on your PC? It could alao be a problem with a remote wire off your ignition, pending how you hooked it up.
I have it wired into the fuse panel under my driver side dash. it has 3 connectors for a spade connector. one is always hot, one is hot when key is turned to ON, other is hot when headlights are on. I have it wired into the one that becomes hot when key it turned to ON.

I found out that my car has a relay that drops power from there while cranking, and I was told of an alternate power source before the relay to use.

most cars cut the acc power wile cranking - my 2000 Civic does this through the key switch.

You learn a lot when you install remote starters
