Xbox has a DC to DC PSU??? I thought it was a AC ( house hold current) to DC.

Xbox has a AC-DC PSU and the "volts of the motherboard" are the same of the volts of the pc. So i think that the normal DC-DC unit that you use in yours car can be adapts to Xbox.
I would want to put my xbox in car but i don't know anything about electronic and i don't like the inverter's solution.
    Someone could make a test....pleaseeeeee

    Basically

Think of the xbox as a laptop with a good video chipset. <p>I would certainly use the opus 150W power supply, it has a full size hard drive and dvd-rom in there. The power supply in your xbox now is 70mm wide x 205 mm long x 50 mm high. There is about 5mm in clearance for the lengh, none for the width (ok, maybe 2mm) and none for the height (but if you were to put a laptop hard drive in there you'd have plenty of room, hmm...) Keep in mind opening the box voids your warranty (gee, darn!)
