When this thread was started it was not immediately apparant that only the 90w units were affected. The initial post by Rhett has been edited since then to reflect that discovery.

Does everyone here work for Opus or what? Damn, get a life.

Their 150W unit works just fine and has been around for quite some time.

Once again you have missed the point and will continue on with your of the wall reason for whatever it is that you think is right o the form. No one said anything about Kris not being a nice guy and no one ever said that it is not sad that some boards are burned. I got the point but you do not.

I SIAD ONE BASIC THING THIS WHOLE TIME. SO I WILL SAY IT AGIAN BECAUSE YOU SEEM TO NOT READ WELL. OK YOUR READY. OPEN YOU EYES AND READ SLOWLY MR LOGIC CURCIUT. MY COMPANY BUYS ALOT OF OPUS PSU AND WE DO NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. I AM ONLY SAYING THATYOU CAN RELY ON THE PRODUCT EVEN THOUGH THE WAS A SMALL AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE PROBLEMS THERE WERE ONLY ABOUT 50 PARTS THAT WERE BAD OUT OF 1000'S THAT WERE SOLD. I AM SAYING THAT WE ARE HAPPY WITH OPUS AND THAT WE SHOULD HELP THEN AND NOT BASH HIM. I AM TRYING TO LET PEOPLE KNOW THAT BECUASE OF A FEW PARTS BAD DOSENT MEAN THE PSU IS A BAD DESIGN.

AND I DID NOT SAY "PRICLESS" SMART ***. I SIAD THAT WE MAKE MONEY FROM SOMETHING THAT HAVE NOT BEEN COPIED BY LARGE COMPANIES YET. I AM NOT THE OWNER OF MY COMPANY I AM THE V.P. SO I AM LOOKING OUT FOR US.

AS FAR AS TESTING EACH BOARD....WE DO......AND WE ARE ABLE TO RUN TEST ON MOST COMPONTS. WE ALSO BUILE PC HARDWARE PRODUCT.

I THOUGHT THE PEOPLE ON THIS FORM WERE OLDER.

SORY FOR DISTURBING EVERY ONE IN YOUR NARROW MINDED THINKING. I WILL NOT WAST ANY MORE YOU YOUR TIME. APPERENTLY IT IS MORE FUN FOR YOU TO WRIGHT BAD THINGS ABOUT PEOPLE THEN GOOD.

FUNNY HOE IT SEEMS BAD NEWS TRAVELS FAST AND GOOD NEWS SEEMS TO GET LOST IN THE MIX.

    GOOD LUCK

jcjc555 - You werent even aware of, let alone willing to admit the possibility of a problem to begin with.

So unless you ordred, revieced and tested multiple units of the DCX3. Checking every Gate, every logic corcuit, every voltage with an O-Scope. You are in NO position whatsoever to state the unit is up to par.

I spoke to kris, he was very helpfull, and very appologetic. We did make arangemnts for some sort of compensation - When its all said an done : I am still out over 200 dolars in parts.

Kris did not have to extend the offer he did, and for that im greatfull, but there are still serious doubts in my mind about the product.

It is the right of this board, its members, and the entire mobile computing industry to discuss these issues, and hopefully find solutions to the problems we encounter.

I myself dont use opus. I got nothing againts them either.

Just accept the fact that theres something wrong with opus. You cant blame those poeple getting annoyed after the opus blows their motherboard...put yourself in their position see how you like it, maybe the tone of your voice will change then.

You just cant blame poeple here for getting put off with opus either, thats just a typical public behavior, accept it. A companys image is probably the most important things and thats one thing they cant afford to make mistake on.

I dont know who you are but I get the impression you like idea of forever defending your own thinking in a childish way. You seems very concern about opus positions, its not your problems...they will fix it for you. The best thing you can do is help them out and warn other poeple here of the problems.

You seems to be more stressed out than Kris himself...why?

By the way...since you are so proud of your company, how good they are and such, whats the name of it may I ask? website?

I got nothing against you, but still I think you are a very funny, ammusing guy

    Peace poeple

Well the 90 Watt smoked my EPIA M1000 also. I have already sent the PS back and emailed Kris about the MB. I will see what he says about it.

    Diagram for Fix?

Guys, I have and Opus 90W and only just noticed this thread! Luckily for me it ain't fried my board yet, so I want to do this fix.

Does someone have the diagram or a picture or something of this fix? I know I need to solder a 22kohm resistor, but I'd like to see exactly where before I get my hot iron out!

    Cheers, Sy
