    Regulated 8 Volts?

    Hi.
I've got a wireless pinhole camera that came with a 240v-8v adapter as well as a battery clip. What I'd like to do is to power this off the vehicle supply. Is there a quick and preferably cheap way of getting regulated 8v? I'm not familiar with electronics so an idiots guide would be really really useful.

or you can use the LM317 with 2 resistors to get the 8V regulated , i think the LM317 is 1.5 Amp and the 7808 is 1 Amp

You can also use a LM338 which is 5A.
