Wiring inverter?

I'm planning on running 8 guage wire from the car battery all the way back to the trunk to the inverter, but how do you actually run it? How do I get the wire from under the hood to the trunk. I don't see how I can get it through the firewall up front, and if I ran it under the car I would have to make a hole in the trunk which would present a water leak. So how is it done?

go through the firewall. There has to be at least three or four easy spots to slip a single 8 gauge wire through...all the real wiring that goes through doesn't just sneak through by magic, just look under your dash for rubber gaskets...slit one of those to put your wiring through.

If your car is an automatic, there will be one rubber gasket by the brake booster. Basically the rubber plug is there where the clutch master cylinder suppose to be on manual car. If not, check the passenger side for rubber plug. If NONE of the above, run it with the main engine wires or run thru the fender (that is where I run mine).

Nope, it's a manual. But I just went out and looked under there. I see a few possibilities so I'll have to check them out. I'll also check the passenger site for any openings. Thanks
