I went 150watt, no problems here.
Can someone let me know which power supply I should go for? 90watt or 150watt? This is my current setup that I need to power with a DC-DC power supply:
EPIA M10000
20gig HD
slim DVD drive
USB mouse
No-name Wireless Lan Card
SoundBlaster Extigy (needs to be powered off the computer 12V)
DSCustoms 7inch screen
Future upgrade: GPS
If there is a better solution from another company please let me know. I have a shutdown controller on the way, but I might sell it if the power supply I get has one in it. I have tried 3 different "cheap" solutions and I just want to get what will work and hopefully spend under $200
Is the 90 watt smaller? Also, can someone point me in the direction of some pictures showing the actual size of the power supply? Maybe it next to a CD or something? Thanks.
The 150 watt supply is larger than the 90 watt. The 90 watt is 17.5 cm by 7.8 cm (8.2 cm with bracket) by 2 cm. I don't have the measurements for the 150, but from the looks of it, it's mainly taller.Originally Posted by ELEmental59437
Note, my 90 watt pictured has the optional mounting bracket.

Here's a pic of the 150 watt. From the size of the ATX power connector, you can tell that this supply is a bit wider than the 90 watt, and much taller.
EDIT: Opus' site says that the 150 is 100mm x 125mm x 63.5mm including enclosure.

Thanks for the dimensions tom, and nice cd.. lol
I think I could get the 90 watt in my case with no problem, only wonder if it has enough power for what I need.
I thought you guys might like that CD. I know I do.Originally Posted by ELEmental59437
I wish I could tell you for sure that it'll be enough power for you, but I don't have mine installed yet. I'm waiting on the screen to come in. The numbers look good for the 90 watt and my setup, but it'll be close.
Our setups look real similar, except for the Extigy. I'm even going to use a full size CDRW/DVD drive, so mine should be more power hungry than yours. I figure mine at approx 75 watts. You can guesstimate yours by going to www.mini-itx.com and scrolling to the bottom of the right-most column. You'll see a sections of "Useful Links" and a "Power Simulator". This will let you select your mainboard and peripherals and tell you how much power they will draw. It's estimated, since specific devices draw different power, but I think it's good enough to work for us. Use the "Play DVD mode" for the highest amount of power useage.

I just thought of something else too. I was planning to power my screen from the Opus supply. (not included in the 75 watts I mentioned above) Anyone know how much power the DWW-7VGA pulls?
Is this a good idea or bad idea?

I plan on doing the same thing, using the power from the opus to power everything-dww-7vga, cd/dvd rom, all up front-of course I got the 150watt psu just to be sure ;P
