Here are the current specs of my home pc that I would like to put into my car:
Shuttle XPC Sb75G2
- Intel P4 2.6 Ghz 800 Mhz FSB
- Corsair 512MB PC3200
- Western Digital 40 GB HD 7200 RPM
- Sony 8x DVD-RW/R DVD+RW/+R Drive
- ATI All in Wonder 9600 Pro (128 MB DDR, 8x AGP)
Now would the OPUS 150W produce enough power to run the system smoothly? If not then what computer part(s) should I downgrade on? Thanks for any input.
Does the mobo have on board video?
You could use that instead of the AGP.
Depending on how your ram is setup, take out a stick?
*I* wouldn't put the dvdr drive in either. A standard one, maybe.
I dunno. I see no need for such a powerful PC (2.4ghz, 800FSB etc) in a car.
Unless your passengars are gonna be playing some games.
The memory is one stick of 512 MB PC3200. And no, It doesn't have an onboard videocard. But I am thinking of using a DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive instead. I also don't want to use any other DC-DC power supplys because I like the features that the OPUS has and using an inverter as a source of power is out of the question. Anybody else has suggestions?
