Thread: Powering a Epia 8000 board

    my forte isnt exactly electronics, does this mean, i can by pass using the brick, ie laptop adaptor, and just hook straight to car battery providing i get a power regulator

    Absolutely! That's exactly what I'm doing. I got rid of the AC/DC brick and bought the laptop adapter from radio shack, which takes in 12v from the car and puts out a REGULATED 12v to power the carpc. Again, take a close look at my power supply diagram

    cheers for all the help, ive started building the case and comp, and have finished the design for the circuitry of the system, will keep u updated.
