    Powersupplies in the UK...

Anyone here from the UK who knows decent places to pickup inverters etc?

I got my inverter (when i was using one a couple of years ago) from a local car shop to me (at the time), called GK Motor Factors in Colchester.

However, I have since moved on from the inefficient inverter route, and have gone to DC-DC.

Ultim8pc have the Morex DC-DC PSUs, which is what I am currently using, however I am going to be getting myself an Opus soon. I don't trust it putting un-regulated power into my desktop hard drive (although it has been OK for a few months, i don't want to risk it longer than i have to!) and i'm starting to miss having a proper shut-down controller also!

I will possibly be needing to get 4 (2 for me, 1 for boss, 1 for dad) within the next couple of months, so I might organise a group-buy for UK people

Hi everyone. Long time reader but first post.

This is a great forum and I've learnt a lot from all you guys. The best source for information!! Nice one everybody!!

I'm fine with everything except for the power supply stuff!! I haven't got a clue what half of you are talking about!?!

The Opus seems like an awesome solution. Nice and easy for the likes of me who just want an all-in-1 without having to know too much about how it works internally! I'm very interested in a UK group buy too!! Let me know if you do manage to get that off the ground!!

if your in the uk you gonna get bloody good deal anyway mate, more dollars for less sterling, i would strongly reccomend you get in touch with opus and get one ordered.
it only seams expensive but it will save you a hell of a lot of hassle in the long run...

go for the 150w psu, its not much more, will seriously work out good just in case you upgrade your pc in the future.
