APC Battery backup used in tank circuit

    Hello,

What do you guys think of this. Instead of buying a really expensive battery i to use as a secondary battery i just ripped the 12v, 7ah battery from an APC battery backup unit. Could this be used in a tank circuit to make sure the computer survives a crank?

It is a small battery but will defenatly be enough for atleast 5 min of run time.

Let me know what you guys think and if anyone can give a parts list required to make a tank circuit that would be great.

    Cheers

Yes you can use it. There was a topic with some suggestions about a week ago that you might search for. It didn't specifically name the batteries as having come from a UPS, but they were of that type and size.
