Question Wiring Opus outside of case

    Hi All,

I've been doing my best to read and search, but haven't been able to find a good answer to the following:

If the case the computer is in is too small to house the Opus 150w PS, what are my options? Is there a well known / adviseable way to mount / wire the PS? What are other people doing?

Thanks much for any pointers, input, and advice.

    -Per

maybe you could drill a hole in the case, put a grommet in the hole, then buy an ATX power extension, run it through the hole, hook one end to the mobo, and leave the other end for the Opus connector.

remove it from it's metal case, I've seen people use there opus without a fan or it's metal case. Or build some custom housing for your comp and PSU

Here is my Opus 90W that I installed. Just took it out of its UFrame and made my own mounting holes etc... Fit right in!

    Found a perfect case!

i have mine seperate from where the mobo is so i had to make a long atx power cable.

solution: found 2 dead power supplies, cut the wires/connectors off, and crimped em together... it's about 2ft long
