    forget the tank circuit

    i bought a optima yellow top battery the other day, and no longer reboot when starting the car.

    new battery's voltage during cranking is just above the inverter's shutdown threshold. Give it time, your PC will reboot again, even with the Optima yellow top.

    My car is a year old and my Car PC has never restarted during cranking. I have a 400W power inverter, the stock battery, and a 4 GA power wire from the battery (properly fused). Maybe my car's an anomaly, no problems here!

    More likely you have a good inverter, which are rare and usually very expensive.
