And it's likely just as crappy as the rest of the PW series.

I have to admit I'm a little skeptical myself. I hope it produces a good RMS output. It would be a great solution.

Yeah but if they didin't make a cheap PS, then everyone would have to spend more money on Opus, build there own or a Keypower.

If this comes out, maybe it will drive down the other PS prices?

Don't forget mini-ITX's aren't made for the car. I'd rather them have this built and sold than not.

And if you run it inside your house, why would the PW be crappy? It's small and fits in tight spaces. Maybe for the car it's crappy, but for other apps it beats out Opus and the other PS's mentioned here.

They have shown themselves to not be above publishing misleading specs in the past. Saying that the ITPS has an input voltage range down to 5v for example.

Besides the rebooting on crank issue, whats wrong with them?

Also I heard Opus can destroy some motherboards or something.

Maybe a earlier version that needed a firmware fix. I forget, but someone mentioned something about it. Wow thats great, break my mobo. Even better.

The ITPS having a minimum input voltage is technically correct because at 5v it will stll power the PIC12C that controlls the interface. With a voltage below 5, the 5v reg powering the PIC stops working causeing the PIC to lose power, at this point you have to completely disconnect the part in order to get it to work again. These business practices are not uncommon to ANY industry, including the one YOU work in.
