It is one diode, not two. 6Amp one would be an overkill. 1A-3A will be fine.

Since the question of using a controller was brought up, what are you going to use your inverter for? Is it a PC or a Game Station (XBox, PS2)?

If it is a PC, you will have a problem with shutting it down. The hard power cut is not recommended.

oh i plan to make a power button to hibernate the pc, so i push the pc power button before i turn pull out the car key, once key is out, there is no power to headunit, therefore no power to inverter, everything should be off. The headunit never turn off, so when i start the car back on again, everything should turn on by setting in the bios.
The reason i chose this way is that i can eliminate one switch, and my inverter do not survice the crank...i don't know how to make it survice yet...i read and search in this forum for a long time now...but i still confused, it seem like everyone has different opinion doing thing...but anyway will my plan still work?
    thanks...

I finally did it, unfortunately when I taped into acc line from headunit out to the amp to turn on my inverter. It produced humming noise, grounding the amp and the inverter to same spot didnít help, then I thought the fan in the inverter might cuz that hum, so I took out the inverterís fan, that **** didnít help either. What next?
Should I tap it into the radio harness?
Or I should tap directly into the ignition 1 line?
By the way my car is Honda accord 1997.
Oh yeah, since I took out the inverterís fan, is it bad using with out the fan?
    Thanks.

I'd put the fan back in. It was there for a reason.
Try not only grounding the negative input to the same spot, but the body of the inverter also. Then, ground the body of your source device.

i believe i did ground the inverter, the casing and the amp to the same spot but i haven't try to ground the headunit to same location yet.
how come if i use different power source beside my acc headunit wire to turn on my inverter, there's no humming, i wonder.....
    thanks

That's interesting. So when your ACC headunit wire is connected to the turn-on relay, you get the noise, right?
Try using a regular ACC wire, not the "remote" one coming from your headunit. It may simply not like a relay connected to it.
