Acc is the right one.
Hi, I just have a stereo guy to install the power wires to the PSU in the trunk. THe guy asked me where should the Switched line goes to, Ignition or Accessory? Then i looked at the OPUS instruction and answered "Ignition".
After spending a while read through the posts here, I am getting worry that I might did the wrong thing! Should I have him installed to the Accessory line rather than Ignition? Will my setup still able to power up the computer and off? I don't have an OPUS yet so I can't test it so I am looking forward to hear what the experts say here.
THanks,
drink a yoohoo and relax..
Mine needs to be updated.
I like the IGN wire myself. ACC wire would show voltage for a moment before the crank and then again after you crank. I am not sure but I think this would throw 2 seperate momentary pulses to the mobo.
Doesn't matter, the OPUS will filter out momentary pulses, the power has to be off for a bit before the shutdown signal will be sent.

It's in... it's finally installed!!!! But never finished!

We might be confusing a thing or two here.
The way I would interpret wires:
ACC - On when igintion key is in ACC, ON, Start positions.
IGN - On when the car is cranking.
ACC wires do not have power during start/crank. Only in the ON and ACC positions.
IGN wires have power in the ON position and through crank.
You're right! I looked it up in the manual. The starter one is called ST, not ignition.Originally Posted by sfay93

Can't speak for all cars but most japanese cars (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Madza, )with key arrangement like this:
LOCK/OFF-ACC-IGN-START
ACC has power when key in ACC, IGN
IGN has power when key in IGN, START.
