one correction - if you power the screen off the opus, it will come on with startup/shutdown of opus (ignition). just thought i would throw one factor that may persuade you TO power it off the opus.
the Lilliput won't turn on on it's own, you'd have to do Coyotes mod or something like...

    laidback-

yeah, i meant to add that - but if you hardwire it to a B+ source, you either need to wire a relay from teh ign wire or have it on all the time (then coyote's mod doesnt work).

but if he powers it from the opus (with coote's mod), it will come on/off with the power.

Thank you all for your insight. I plan to run everything off the OPUS... I just have a few questions. Pardon me if i sound nieve, but unfamilar with electric wiring an such.

Is there a way to power everything from a single large guage wire from the OPUS?
If so, how is the voltage regulated between devices and how are they connected?
Or do I just seperate power cables for each device?
Does length in those power cables cost additional power?

    Thanks so much...

I would go with the individual power wires. It is technically the same as the single large wire with taps on it for each device, but it will be easier to make changes with individual wires. As for power regulation, the OPUS unit does that, but it does so on the 12V rail on the whole, so each device would NOT be individually regulated except by internal electronics. The power supply does not do this.

Also, yes - distance will effect your power signal. Depending on amperage, voltage, wire size, and quality of wire, signal degrades faster or slower. All signals degrade over distance. For the wire choice, see this chart for help:
    http://www.sdcsecurity.com/2002pdfs/ps/wire.pdf

Also, a run through http://www.the12volt.com will make you feel like a pro. It's one of the best car electronics sites available, with TONS of resources and information.
