OPUS will it consum less power than invertor?

hi, just a quick question which im guessing is really stupid, but if I was to buy an OPUS unit and power a pc from that, will this consume less power than using a invertors to pc?

I guessing it will use less, since there’s little conversion taking place.

Yes, that is called 'efficiency' and it is one of the Opus's big strengths.

ta. just needed to check. My invertor just drains far too much power for my car

Once i get my OPUS is it worth getting a bigger battery as well?

you don't need a second battery.

If your setup cannot keep one battery charged, then it cannot charge two-get a better alternator.

However, if you plan on running your system without your engine running, having two batteries will keep your system up twice as long.

    EDIT:
Oops - you said bigger battery not second. It's always a good idea to get the best battery you can afford. Not just for a carputer, but in any car so that you have the needed cranking amps after running accessories.
If at first you don't succeed, so much for skydiving!
