    Orbit Micro 250W DC-DC PSU

I thought I'd share on this wonderful power supply I picked up.

    http://www.orbitmicro.com/products/p...2/KPDX250H.htm

It's a 250 Watt DC-DC power supply. That's a lot of power. I figured I'd need it if I wanted an AMD 2400 XP and an ATI Radeon 9000. The power supply fires up nicely. It doesn't have a shutdown controller, it doesn't even take an accessory lead. This wasn't a problem for me since I can wire up a relay or two for my own shutdown controller.

On my civic it doesn't survive a crank (and its 80 some degrees out). Something like this isn't that hard to solve though.

If you need a lot of power, This is the way to go.

If the engine was recently on, the computer will survive a crank. So if you make a pit stop, it wont die.
