Just made this controller tonight. I have to say it works very good. I purchased the wrong relay by mistake, I got a Normally Open Relay, by mistake but found out the shutdown controller allowed to do the reverse of this. I will be using this with the mucha shutdown controller, as I don't have pulse on my motherboard. Will let you know how it turns out.

I´ll check this out as soon as I get home from work, I have a later version tha is more stable, specially when you use it for hibernation.

What language did you write it in? Any chance of source code? I would like to make some modifications to it.
Im guessing you did it in .NET but was it VB or C? Let me know

You can buy USB/Serial Cable adapters on ebay... They allow USB ports to prettend to be Serial Ports. And I would imagine they have an equivelant to work in reverse...

Search for 'USB to RS232 (Serial) Adapter' or 'USB to DB9'
