can you change to using printer port?
I have used it on win98 for 16 controls but the program can not be used on 2k/XP

by using the "useless" printer port on carpc, you can make the program more useful.

1.auto back gear video cam program swith
2.auto shut down
3.auto dim (when you turn on car head light, screen change to dim night mode)
4.auto radio antena (when swich to radio at your carpc, antenna goes up)
5.......as many as you like within 16 input and output

Damn, does anyone still have a working link? I bought an extra pci card with 2 additional serial ports for this software

hey guys, i saw this software a while ago, but havent found a working link, so i started coding my own. so far it only works on parallel port, as i cant access serial properly, it has a timer function you can change before it shuts down, if you short a status pin to ground, it lays dormant, but when you turn off the ignition, it disconnects the 2 pins, and starts counting down, if car is turned on again within the time, it resets timer and waits again. i hgave only tried it on xp, so 98 might not work. im writing it in vb6, so if you want a copy, i will put up a link, and the source code, mayeb someone can improve on it and get serial working, as well as choosing between ports.

Actually this isn´t freeware anymore, you can buy a new version from www.thecarpcstore.com it´s only $3.99. It has more functions than the one in the link. It is also compatible with the Car PC EZ Power controller, but it will also work without it.
