Sure. Just dont wire the PC's 12v input to the ITPS. Wire it to a constant 12v supply from your car battery instead. The ITPS will just push the button then.Originally Posted by mutilator
is it possible to have the ITPS stay live, just sending a shutdown pulse to the board? rather than having it cut the power completley after a certain time?

If the PC's input is wired to the car battery it wont be regulated
CarPC install is starting to come along again...
hmm at themo im usinthe itps, butnot the shutdown features, just usuin a spare switch
If you want to use ITPS to regulate power, then you will only be able to set up for "Hibernation" instead of "Stand by".
Hibernation recovery is pretty fast IMO. My music starts playing about 10 seconds after computer gets power from ITPS, so total to about 13-15 seconds after crancking... Stand by will definitely be much faster, but I don't really mind it. If you are really anal about it, you should just dish out the extra cash for OPUS or the other more "intelligent" PSUs that support stand-by.![]()
i got an oppus, butmy bro got a pw200 withITPS, standby works fine as long as u dont use the itps's own shutdown controler, and just do it with a switch instead.... mabe ioll try hibernation... standby rocks tho.
