did you try reversing the Opus's pwr sw cable on the pins (switch polarity)?
Finally got my OPUS installed but i'm having a little problem. When I start the car, my pc doesn't start.
I've change the pwr sw cable to original and it works just fine with opus power supply. I've also tested my acc line cable and it has 12v.
I started the pc with manual switch and then swapped the opus pwr wire. It doesn't shutdown if ignition is turned off. The green led on opus blinks every 4 seconds...couldn't find anything in troubleshooting guide. It most closely matches with .1 sec on and 2.5 sec off (idle or standby state).
What am I doing wrong? Any had a similar problem? Any suggestions? I want to use my newly built carputer this weekend![]()

...sorry for not helping at all
mobo $130 ; 150wOpus-$200 ; 256mb pc2700 -$10 ; 120gb HDD 7200-$70 ; Lilliput TS 7"-$265 ; USB LAN-Free AR ; Rikaline 6010 GPS-$34 ; ShuttleXpress-$37
Total = $746....Carputer = Priceless
i'm still struggling with it...it randomly works but like once every 30-40 triesI'll call opus tomorrow or monday
at this point i'm thinking the opus is bad. I've tried different pc's, different cables, etc...It works once in while; very rarely, like 1 out of 30-40 tries.
The PC seems to behave just fine by pressing the power button (if switch cable is connected)
I think opus is not shorting the wires as it should be. I've left a msg for Kris, let's see what he has to say.
I just solved the same exact problem with my Opus today. In my case, it was the RMS pin on the PSU itself. The pin was pushed back inside the connector and only intermittently made contact with the RMS pin on the other side of the connector. I pulled it back up with some pliers.
Ditto...I did the same and it worked couple times. I still have to try it couple more times before I say it worksBut it may very well be the pins not making good contact. Thanks for feedback, I'm not the only one out there...
