    pw-70a is not enough?

i have m10000 and 5400 2.5" hdd and slim slot dvd...
i have pw-70a for the psu...
my dvd does not read cd and keep loose connectioin with windows...
at first i thought dvd went bad...
i tested it on my desktop and it works very well...
    it read cd right away...
i check the voltage on pw70a it is 4.75v and i jumped ground wire from psu to groud of car... then voltage went up to 5.2v
but windows does not loose connection any more but still
after i insert cd it take some time to reconize it...
    what you guys think?
    not big enough psu?

are you connecting the PS straight to the car (and by straight I mean no 12v regulation in between car and PS)? PW70A need to have between 12v and 13.5 or something like that, as it will not regulate the 12v input. Do a on this, you'll find lots of threads that discuss this matter.
