I'm pretty certain as long as it's grounded (through the ground wire) putting in a plastic riser is fine.
I would like to remove my opus 150 from its case so I can mount it inside my carputer case. Im not sure how I would go about attaching the board to the inside of custom case (made of metal). Does it need to be touching the metal case, or can I just put it on some plastic risers? Thanks for any help.

If the underside of the board touches the case be prepared for fireworks etc. I used nylon risers to space the supply from the case and used rubber washers to protect from vibration too.

What about Plexi-glass case? Would static be a problem?
I want to get at the jumpers in my opus 150, but after taking out all the screws it still feels like I'm going to break it when I try to take the cover off.
Is there a trick to taking this thing apart?
