    News! 12VDC Power Supply(200W)

I just saw this in the news!

    200 Watt Power from the Mini-Box PW-120

The tiny 2.4 x 2.25-inch power supply, smaller than a credit card, is completely fanless and is designed to fit the VIA Mini-ITX EPIA-M and EPIA-MII mainboards. A 12 volt DC converter will deliver 200 watts to the Mini-box PW-120, this is designed primarily to power small media center systems, hospital computers or other systems used in a sound sensitive environment.

It also doesn't have an ITPS like the OPUS.

Could be good if you wanted a mini PC in your living room.... but not for a car...

Exactly. I have a PW70 or whatever they want to call it or rate it at. Works GREAT for desktop use, VERY tiny!!! free's up tons of room in my HUGE 2699 but pretty much worthless for a car pc. Opus all the way baby!

IF its cheaper, that doesnt mean its a better deal. It just means its cheaper.

yeah, all those PW supplies seem to require the ITPS, which limits current to 60W

I think opus is the most widly accepted Powersupply for in car PC's hands down... Did they ever fix the problem with the opus 150 that leaves power on to USB devices after a shutdown?

The Opus doesn't have an ITPS either. It doesn't need one, it regulates the 12v just fine, and it has a shutdown controller built in.
