    Itps

I use ITPS/PW70A without any problems at all.
    I have M1000 +3.5"HDD(7200)
I do only use my carputer while the car is running.
Do you think the ITPS with it's 60W can supply a 5.25" DVD IDE too?

I know this is going to be decidedly smart-assed, but I can't resist....
    DVD drives are only 5.25"...
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

i think he meant a standard desktop internal drive, versus an external or a slimline/laptop drive. but yes, it was smartassed.

back on topic - i see no reason a good 60W p/s can't run a dvdrom drive. i run a SBC which has a k6-2/300, 64mb, usb (for touch screen), pcmcia (w/ a wifi nic), all the rest all onboard, AND an old western digital 30gb 3.5" hdd, and an even older pioneer 24x slot loader cdrom drive... AND a spiffy blue CCFL... all off an antique packard bell 60W p/s. if i can run all that crap, you ought to be able to add a dvdrom to your setup without a problem.

On mini-box.com you can find a tool called powersimulator. It lets you calculate how much power your Epia system consumes.

Why is it drug addicts and computer afficionados are both called users?
