    huge power issue, HELP

ok so here is what happened. i wired a +12v line from the battery to inside the car and then up to the lilliput touchscreen screen. here are the voltages i saw:

car off: 12.9 before lilliput inline regulator, 12.4 after (closer to screen)
-light would come on but would not power screen up fully

car on: 13.9 before, 13.4 after
    -still not working

so i took out the regulator and ran the wires right from the battery line to the screen and had 13.9 into the screen.

it worked fine now. is there a problem with doing it this way, without that inline reg from lilliput.

any idea what the problem could be with the inline reg???

    thanx a ton!!

What kind of regulator? Check the ground on the Regulator.

it was the regulator that comes with the lilliput (egg).

I'd be carefull of bypassing the regulator (egg), as your car voltage whilst it reads 13.9 could easily spike to 16v or higher and damage the Liliput. If the regulator is broken then I'd get a new one before you need a new TFT.
