Please Help, Opus issue (I think)

Here is the issue, I have my car computer that I made, and a lilliput, I put the lilliput and the computer in my house, connect them use a normal 450 watt power supply and they both turn on and the computer stuff is displayed on the lilliput. SO figuring they are working I take them into my car and plug in the computer only this time powering it with the opus, and the lilliput which is hard wired into the cig lighter cords, start up the computer and everything, fans start spinning, then when I turn on the lilliput it just displays NO VGA signal, all the cords are plugged in and everything. take it back into the house and it works fine. I can not figure out what the problem could possibly be, why would it work fine in the house, but not out in the car???

Can you run an extension cord out to use the wall-wart on the lilliput? The regulator it comes with eats a volt or so, maybe your battery is a little low? It does odd things with low voltage, I've seen it be really dim, for instance.

Also, do the hard drives spin up? How is the Opus connected to the motherboard? Do you have both the jumper line from the Opus AND the ATX connector? Or just the ATX connector?

I took a normal monitor outside and hooked it up, it didn't work either, so I'm assuming its something to do with the opus, as for as the cables, I'm guessing Im just using the atx because I have no clue what the jumper line is or what its for

I've got one of those laptop dvd drives, I just recently bought it off ebay for like 50 bucks, I'll give it to the person who helps me find out my problem,

The jumper line isn't hooked up?!

That's your problem! You need to hook the jumper line to the power button jumpers on your motherboard, or else it won't work. That's how the Opus turns it on, also how it knows when to supply power.

Oh you mean the green and white power cable that goes to the power switch? yes that is hooked up, like I said early the lights on the mother board come on that indicate its on, all the fans start spinning, harddrive turns on, and it everything appears to be working, just that there is no video out
