As said before, there is no way the 90W will work. Get the 150/220W
AMD XP 2600+/512MB RAM/120GB hard drive
    Opus 150W/DVD/GPS/7" Lilliput TS/802.11g/Bluetooth
    Installed.

    -GPSSecure- - GPS Tracking
    -AltTabber2.2.2- - Handy touchscreen utility.

Thanks for the advice. I'm definately going to wait for the 150W at least and drop in a lower-end card. The only thing that I foresee putting a heavy load on the GPU would be Winamp visuals.

Do you run the visualizations on it? If so, how fluid is it?

I do not run visualizations, it is an old Matrox PCI card it might have 8mb of memory on it... But it does not use much power and it was on my shelf before the project... so no new cost.

It's not only the max power thats important. So what that your drawing only 80W for instance if it's all on the 5V.

The 90W Opus is designed for Via C3, Pentium-M, AMD Mobile, or Geod processors. Nothing else. Not even a Pentium 2.

I am wanting to get one of these Opus 150W PSU's too... but as EVERYONE knows, they aren't available. I'm curious... will the 220W be out in place of the 150W or will the 150W AND the 220W BOTH be out in October? Ultimately, it seems to make sense to just get the bigger one if thats the case. Right now on the test bench, I have one of the PW120's from AudioForge... bought it before I realized it really wasn't a good solution. Anyway... lemme know if the 220W is a replacement for the 150W... Thanks in advance.

I haven't heard of the 220 is replacing the 150. I would think it would be smart to keep them both and lower the price of the 150 and keep the 220 as a higher-end solution, but I'm not marketing expert.

Don't count on the 220 watt from OPUS anytime soon. There has been talk of this since February and as of now it's all vaporware. Sure something is in the works but nothing is ready yet. When there is a tangible product to deliver rest assured we'll pass it information along, but now itís all hype. Sorry, I'm just being realistic.

Mp3Car will have the 150 watt in stock by the middle of next week.

I wasn't aware of that. It looks like the 150 is the way to go for now, then. I'll still keep an eye out for the 220, though.

Nice! I hope enough will be on hand to fulfill the flood of orders that's bound to come in. Set one aside for me, would ya?

Is MP3Car.com accepting pre-orders? Or is it first come, first serve once they are in stock? If I can pre-order, I may have to get that done. TTYL!
