Removed my system from the car to do some updates.
I'm using a standard PC power supply, to power the system, using the 12v line to the harddisk connector.
Problem is when I have a monitor connected the system starts to boot, then the power supply shuts down.
Runs fine when no monitor is attached.
When it is running, and I touch the monitor connector to the VGA port or to the case the power supply shuts down.
Used another monitor the same thing.
It's seems to be a earthing problem, can anyone give me any suggestions
maybe I have missed something.

should mention what hardware i'm using:
Sproggy 2.8
via 800
2.5 hard drive
256 ram
If I earth the pc case to the power supplys case, with no moniter attached
I get the same think, so nothing todo with the monitor.
I used two P/S same thing.
it has run in the car for over a year with no problems.
