    need 9vdc

    what would be the best way of dropping a 12v rail coming off my OPUS to 9v? a resistor?

    go to radioshack and get a universal cigarette lighter adapter, hack off the cigarette lighter end off and splice it into your OPUS, select the 9v voltage on the knob thing that lets you select what voltage you want, and splice the other end into whatever 9v you need! waaalaaa. I'm sure you won't be using more power than what that thing can handle, but yeah like JC-S60 said how many watts or amps are you needing?
    CarPC install is starting to come along again...
