Opus & AC Power (in house)

I asked this in the newbie forum last night, which might have been my mistake.

I've read the various postings about how to power your Opus in the house using either a battery charger, bench tester, hot-wired ATX power supply, or a regular brick. Well, for a clean solution I decided to do the brick ( http://idotpc.com/TheStore/Periphera....status=orange ) and now have a problem. The Opus provides three power leads (Red/Black/Blue) and the AC adapter has a 2.5mm/5.5mm jack. I thought a quick trip to RadioShack would solve the problem but they weren't able to help and neither was a local electrical parts store. So, where can I find the part(s) to go from the AC adapter jack to two wires (positive -> Red/Blue, ground -> Black). This seems simple enough and I'd like to avoid chopping off the connector.

I know I saw a thread about this but I haven't been able to find it after two days of searching...

    Thanks.

    Jeff

Look for an electronics supply house. I just did what you are talking about basically. I got the PW80 PS, but the 19 volt laptop brick I have had a different sized connector. Rat Shack didn't have what I needed (a few blocks away, I still go there from time to time), so I went to the local electronic supply house and got it. I put one on the end of the pwersupply wiring, and one on the ITPS, since I will still have reasons to take it out of the car and power it up inside.

Rat Shack is only good for cell phones and satellite tv. They finally got all the components back out where you can look through them, but even if you take a rat shack part number, and the terminal puts up a location, 99% of the time they can't find it anyways.

"Electronic Equipment" is the section in the yellow pages I looked. Also "Electronic Parts"
