    Grounding components safely

I have a ITPS + PW70 but im having a ground loop, and someone suggested to ground the components apart too...

You cant really ground it because its on rubber wheels so you have to use the - of the battery?

The - of the battery is also called the ground and attatched to the framework, the wires of my ITPS en PW are also attatched to the frame so i can just run wires from my mobo rings and HD to the black wire of the PW70? Or will i get strange things then?

I have searched, ALOT, but theres now where really a answer...

I don't think it will matter if you use the same ground wire. As long as you ground everything to the same point and as close to your equipment as possible, you should be good to go.

As long as the itps is grounded (use medium gauge wire, eg 10ga) to a bolt on the chassis and the pw70a is connected correctly to itps, you should not need to ground the mobo or hdd as this is done with the black cables.

It is morelikely that your ground loop comes from your audio setup, try to have all amps and hus grounded to the same point as the itps.

    I'm too quick.

I'd say that 10awg is a bit overkill just for a ground (and 70watts), but it's not a bad thing either. Your ground wire should be as short as possible. Mine is about 12 inches from my OPUS. 14awg has worked fine for me. My +12V is about 8ft long, 14awg, and voltage drop is negligeable. The wires never get warm either.

    I suggest copper wire too.

Well ok i didnt think of grounding the ITPS yet lol. But i assume you mean the black wire of the ITPS like directly to the chassis or a additional wire? Amps and stuff are correctly grounded/connected (i hope), i dont have any trouble at all at CD/radio etc.

I'm not familiar with how the ITPS should be wired. But in general if you have a (-) or GND on your device, you can ground it to the chassis of the car.
