where did you find them? my old PS2 takes a cable that goes straight form 110V to it... and then it has a internal power supply which converts it to whatever it needs...
so basically in the car i am stuck using a inverter for it...
I found some 12v supplies for the older ps2 but any solutions for the new, thin ps2?

Pentium 4m 1.5GHz|MB896|Roadie Extreme|XM-Direct|Rikaline 6010|T-View 7"|Streetdeck|160gb Western Digital|1Gb DDR2-533 Ram
The new thing PS2 takes 8.5V DC.... that might help you in your search, although I am sure there isn't any kind of purpose built adaptor, at least not yet.
Well now we know the voltage, and finding the max current draw should be nice and easy: just look at the label on the thing.Originally Posted by rushnrockt
Then go look for an 8.5V voltage regulator that gives you enough current, and use thatWill this work?
Old plans out the window because of an accident .
Have: M1-ATX, EPIA M10000, 256MB, 60GB 2.5", slim slot load DVD
Need: Time, HU integration, ideas for Lilli
You need 4.3Amps. Not sure if what you found there is exactly the kind of thing zombie was looking for, doesn't seem very car pluggable![]()
Yah you're right... I think i'll just get an inverter for now.Originally Posted by rushnrockt
if you take apart the ps2 there is a small power cicuit on the bottom side. remove that and there will be 4 little prongs that plug into the circuit board you just removed you can the two closest to the inside of the ps2 and tie them together and wire a jumper from there to ground and the two closest to the outside to +12vdc. If you really want it to look facotry then take apart the switch and run your jumpers to that and cut the end of your power cable off and now you have a ps2 that runs of off 12v.
