Question HELP !! Opus & Via EPIA PD No Go?

Hey Guys, I have a serious problem that I just can't figure out, I have had a epia M10000, a opus 90, and a full size hdd drive running in my car for the last 9 Months without any problems whatsoever, and the I sold the motherboard from my carputer and replaced it with the Epia PD and now once the computer goes into standby it will not come out the computer just sits there beeping, the first thing I thought was that I screwed my opus when I changed my board so I got another opus and fitted it, same deal, so I got another Mainboard (Epia PD) same deal, so I borrowed my original mainboard back, fitted it and it works fine! now the problem is that I can't buy M boards any more, Via have discontinued them and I just cant seem to get the PD boards to come out of standby? Any Suggestions? any and all help would be appreciated.

    HELP 90w Opus not enough??

I upgraded my Epia V to a Epia PD last night, and stayed with my working Opus 90W.

Now, the new board won't power up - I've disconnected everything, USB, fans, even the CPU fan.

It starts (LAN card lights and when connected the CPU fan spins) - but there is no video and the 2.5 laptop HDD won't start.

Connecting it to a normal ATX power supply, and everything works just fine.

    Help - Will an 90w Opus run a Epia PD 10000 ??

    Thanks

    Please help - stuck now.

    Hi

Can somone offer any advice on this problem.

    I found at - http://www.***********.com/product_i...roducts_id/234

    the following info:

    Additional Information:
    • Please be aware that the PD10000 can use up to 30W of power. This may have impact on the available power for peripherals such as hard disks and CD drives. We advise to use a power supply that provides at least 80W.

    BUT - I've got the 90W Opus - shouldn't that be enough !!

I Received This Email From The Guys At Opus.........

The Epia-PD and Epia-CL motherboards have a compatibility problem with our
    90W power supply.
The only way we can make your power supply work with this motherboard is by
making some hardware changes. You would need to send both the motherboard
    and power supply in.
We do advise to use Epia-M or Epia-MII series.

P.S. Both the Epia-PD and Epia-CL motherboards are no longer in production,
which is the cause why VIA doesn't offer support for them.

Excellant - now I know why it doesn't work !

I'll organise to have my new MB replaced with a M series.

    Thank you very much.
