    sweet! see i was just post whoring so someone would say that

    I was just saying no, I'm not gonna get an OPUS. It's not always a fix-all. In my case a PW-70a for $45, a $20 4.5Ah SLA battery, and a couple of diodes at Radioshack for $2-3 does the trick just fine.
    CarPC install is starting to come along again...

    You are a lucky guy. I went through a pww-70 / ITPS / tank and diode, tested an isolator etc etc etc. losing more money than it cost me to but the opus. Part of my problem is having a heavily modfied 1994 Mazda RX7 that has a Mitsubishi alternator as an OEM unit and a full set of underdrive pulleys.
    For me, I will recommend OPUS because it does WORK.
