ITPS and EPIA - MII 10000...please help!

Hi to all! I have recently received my ITPS. I would like to use it with my Carputer that has a TRAVLA Case C137-120 (www.travla.com) and a MB EPIA Mini-ITX MII 10000. As on intallation intruction of ITPS, there is a little connector (J2) that could send the ON/OFF signal to MB. It colud be connected to the PS_ON on the MB. I don't found a PS_ON connector on the MB, the only one is on the ATX PS connector and is connectected to the Power Supply. I tried to connect that J2 in the same connector of Front power switch, but it doesn't work... I tried to connect in "parallel" to the PS_ON wire on the Power Supply (PS_ON and GND) but doesn't work. The ITPS seems to work well, I have the 12V after 5 seconds from "Ignition" and it goes off after 45 seconds when the key is OFF. The question is: Which kind of signal is on J2 ITPS ? (GND, Contact closure, etc...) Where I have to connect it to my Motherboard? Please help me, this will be the last thing I have to fix before to install my carputer to my car!

    Chief,

I'm afraid your C137 needs +19V input, not +12V....or are you just using the ITPS as a startup/shutdown controller....?

the ITPS just closes the circuit of the motherboard Power_On pins... The Power_On pins are located to the left of the IDE ports (assuming the CPU is on the right looking at it) Its actually the F-panels Via has teh manual online to find the two pins but if i remember correctly its pins 6 & 8 of the F-panel that ITPS J2 connects to..

Yes... the power supply inside the case wants 19 V Input in order to supply correct power to MB and other components. If you put the ITPS in the middle between AC adapter and case PS, you will have 12 Vcc regulated that aren't enough to trigger the "Good Power" signal to the PS.
