Because of falling price of the US dollar, it might be cheaper to pay more shipping costs and pay less on the currency conversion.

Don't forget that you'll have to pay VAT when it enters the UK.

So is this a good replacement for my 90w OPUS? (which is annoying the hell out of me by randomly turning itself off!)

I've got a cubid case with the original power supply (which I believe you need with this?)

    Ninja,

It might be. It depends on what you are tying to power. Take a look at these power measurements . You need to make sure you're not pushing the current limit of 5 amps for the P1260. If the Opus is shutting off, you may be over its power limit.

What do you have in your system?

    Just:

    VIA EPIA 800
    120GB 3.5" 7200RPM HDD
    USB BU-303 GPS Mouse
    USB Bluetooth Adapter

Also have a USB sound card which I may use if the sound quality is better.

Oh, and I've also got a lilli, but im not taking the power from the psu.

I'm pretty sure my opus is simply on it's way out. It was working fine for months and now it's playing up big time. My charging system is fine.

    Ninja,

Looks like you're around 25-35 watts with the 3.5" drive. Is the USB sound card an Audigy 2NX? If so, it need quite a bit of +5V power.

It's a hercules muse 5.1 - not too fussed if I have to go without, I just thought I might get better sound quality with it.

    So what are my options?

I'd say you're probably OK for the P1260, even with the Lilli attached (about 550mA). I'm just not as familiar with the startup load of the 3.5" drives. The power simulators don't really show this, and I don't use one (I have 2.5" laptop HDD). But if all you have is an EPIA 800 and one 3.5" HDD, and a couple of BT devices...you should be OK. The P1260 will handle the spike in current for a short period while the HDD spins up, but will shut down if you draw more than 5 amps for more than 10 seconds. You can spike up to 6 amps all day long without a problem.

If that's all you have connected to the Opus then I think you're right. It may be on it's way out. Although, that HDD is a power hungry piece. Have you tried contacting Opus tech support? They could probably help you figure out if it's going bad. Good luck.

I have a brand new Opus 90W PSU that I don't think I will be using after all so would give it to you at cost plus shipping from LN if you are interested.
