Recent tests have shown that the 90W DCX3.1209 may have a low-voltage problem in cold weather.
Due to low temperature, battery voltage drops under 6V during crank. In a case like this the DCX3.1209 goes in to a state that it can't reset from. In order to work properly it needs to be reset, by unpluging the input voltage for about 30sec.
To overcome this problem you need to mount a 30V+ diode in series on the Battery input lead to isolate the circuit.
