    Program to test power consumption?

I have a small form computer and I want to know what sort of power it actually uses in various setups when I run it on, as opposed to running a power simulator. Is there any software that does this?

I've searched the forum as well as Google and can't seem to find an answer.

You can't find it because it doesn't exist. Your motherboard has no way of monitoring power consumption.

In order for software to do something like that, there would have to be
sensors built into the mobo for the software to read,
and there is no such thing on mobo's to measure amps.

If you're running it on a/c, you could use one of these:
    http://www.lacrossetechnology.com/pr...tems/3362.html
google "lacrosse power cost controller" to find plenty of places that sell it, ~$30-$35.
I'm not sure if it would work on d/c or not, as I've never tried,
but I do own one, and it works great on anything in the house that's 120vac.

I've heard that some multimeters, like Fluke, that have the sortof clamp looking thing on the end,
that clamps around wires, might be able to, but I don't know, since I'm never used one.
