Sounds like after a couple of years of use near it's upper wattage limit the inverter can no longer maintain that high of a load. Time for a new, larger wattage inverter. 300W should be much better.
I am posting this problem here because I think that my problem is my power inverter. I have been running a car PC with a vector maxx 180w power inverter for 2 years now. As of late my computer fails to turn on when I use my wired switch OR the actual power button on the computer (shuttle). I pulled the shuttle and hooked it up in my house and pluged it in and it ran no problems first try. Put the shuttle back into the car and failed to turn on yet again. But when I plug a alarm clock or a cell phone charger into the inverter it works! Thoughts??? And yes I have tried thebutton
