So. . . does anyone think it is a bad idea to just have the Opus 150W operational outside of a case?
Ok, so I got everything installed and working, thank god. I found that with my 2699R case I had to install the Opus external from the case. Does anyone see this causing any problems? It has a fan, which is really loud and extremely annoying, but I think it should do the job?
Oh yeah, about 5 hours after my install I started my car to find my alternator fried. . . As soon as I get a new alternator I am goint to also buy a switch to connect on the power wire, to completely turn the Opus off.

Nope, been running my OPUS out in the open in my trunk for over a year. Its better to have it in a case, but it certainly is possible to run it without one without having problems.
