    Carnetix 1260 for my carpc?

    Hi chaps

I'm considering buying the carnetix 1260 primarily because I can probably get one really cheap. My question is would it provide enough juice to run my system? Most of it is listed below and it has an internal Morex 12v DC-DC 90w power regulator. I don't intend to add any more stuff to it yet but just want a quick and cheap solution running the pc without having the start up and shutdown hassles. I checked out the Carnetix site but would prefer to hear from those with personal experience.

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah that will be fine I've had all that lot running easily from a Carnetix CNX-P1260

You'll be very happy with the Carnetix, it's a great bit of kit!

I have been toying with the idea, thanks for asking! You got room up there for my 5yr old over-energetic daughter as well? All I need to do is get my pc fitted in properly so I can at least let other people have a look at without fear of having the ***** taken out of me! You know how it is, wires everywhere, pc on the seat, big keyboard in the back! Works well, looks pants.

    Rusty,

Just a note of caution. I've not heard of a Morex 12V "90watt" PSU. I've heard of a Morex +19V/90 watt PSU and a Morex 12V/80Watt PSU, but not 12V/90Watts. I would double check that you've got the +12V input PSU and not the 19V input variety.

Other than that, in my totally unbiased opinion... the CarNetix is a great kit

Damn my eyes, time I got some specs! You are right of course - 12v/80 watt. Better change my signature before everyone else sees it.

Yeah, it's a HUGE campsite, and we've got a field to ourselves, so i'm sure there'll be room for an over-energetic 5 year old! Of course you'll still have to keep an eye on her, we don't want her wandering off, but we'll probably be creating some kind of "enclosure" so to speak with the cars

As for the install...there will be a prize for Most Ghetto install, from the sounds of it currently, you might be in the running for claiming that prize!

Look forward to seeing you there!!
