I'm finally getting into the final purchasing points of my carputer and had heard great things about the Vector Maxx inverters with SST (Soft Start Technology) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WD1V (Not actual item Im obtaining, just similiar)

Has anybody used any of these that can comment on their performance? The soft start should allow me to start my car with my inverter/pc already on and not knock it off?

I want to eventually go with some kind of startup controller, but its not in the financial means ATM. Im guessing that when I jump in the car, I can go ahead and turn the inverter on, then turn the pc on, and start the car. (very noobish I know). I do want to know if I stop to get gas, turn my car off, but leave my pc/inverter on while pumping, will it stay on? and when I crank with the Soft Start will it remain ok? I know its very nooish and I have spent a while researching the carputer, but didnt really find a direct answer.
